What your new job will be about
JYSK Sweden represents a significant and complex business, comprising 158 stores, a Distribution Centre and approximately 2,000 employees, generating an annual turnover of around SEK 5 billion.
To strengthen its financial leadership and support ongoing business growth, JYSK Sweden is now looking to recruit a dedicated and business‑oriented Financial Manager with overall responsibility for financial leadership in the Swedish organisation.
As Financial Manager you report directly to the Country Director for Sweden and have a matrix reference to the EVP CFO and Group Finance function at JYSK Head Office in Denmark.
As a member of the Country Management Team, you play a vital role as a proactive sparring partner for the Country Director and the retail organisation. You combine analytical strength with a hands‑on mindset and a strong drive for results and improvements.
You will lead the finance organisation of 15 employees in Sweden and ensure that your team is motivated, operates efficiently, and follows JYSK’s values and leadership principles.
Key responsibilities include:
Overall responsibility for financial performance, governance and annual reporting in Sweden
Acting as a proactive finance partner who challenges assumptions and turns financial insights into clear business actions.
Driving and improving business controlling activities
Driving improvements in financial governance and administrative processes to ensure high quality and compliance.
Leading the budgeting process, including scenario planning and continuous performance follow‑up.
Securing legal compliance and internal audit processes
Overseeing the salary department
Following up on financial performance and ensuring cost consciousness across the organisation
Acting as a strong sparring partner for the Country Director and retail organisation
What you need to bring
The ideal candidate is ambitious, structured, and business‑oriented, with the ability to manage a wide range of financial and administrative tasks. You thrive in a dynamic retail environment and are motivated by being part of a winning team.
Key qualifications include:
Experience from a senior finance leadership role with end‑to‑end financial responsibility at country or business unit level
The ability to motivate and develop a team
Experience from retail is an advantage but not a requirement
Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
A proactive approach and a strong drive for performance improvements
Ability to handle a high workload, embrace change, and maintain structure
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships internally and externally
