This is an opportunity to take on a key leadership role in an international FMCG trading business. Working closely with the CEO and management team, you will drive financial performance, support strategic decision-making, and help ensure a strong foundation for continued growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will further develop the finance function across multiple countries and entities while contributing to the company's continued success.
The role
As Head of Finance, you will lead the finance team and be responsible for ensuring robust financial management, reporting, and compliance across the organisation.
Combining financial leadership with active involvement in the day-to-day finance operations, you will contribute to the continued development of finance processes, reporting, and business support capabilities.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Leading and developing the finance function and team.
Driving management reporting, financial analysis, and KPI development.
Managing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and consolidation processes.
Supporting management with financial insights and strategic decision-making.
Ensuring compliance, governance, and alignment across international entities.
Driving continuous optimisation, digitalisation, and development of finance processes and systems.
About you
We are looking for a finance leader who combines strong financial expertise with a commercial mindset.
You have gained your experience within an international company, preferably within FMCG, trading, wholesale, distribution, or a similar product-driven business. You are comfortable balancing strategic responsibilities with hands-on involvement and thrive in a dynamic international environment.
Ideally, you bring:
A relevant Master's degree within finance or accounting.
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience within finance or related business functions.
Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and compliance requirements.
Experience working across multiple countries and legal entities.
Strong ERP and Excel competencies, preferably including Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta).
Professional proficiency in English and German.
Experience with German accounting regulations and collaboration with Zollamt and Finanzamt will be considered an advantage.
