We are looking for a Senior Front-End Developer who is motivated to take ownership of the front-end architecture and act as a technical driver in close, day-to-day collaboration with developers, product design, and hardware teams.

At EIVA, collaboration, technical curiosity, and engineering depth are core values. You will join the Applications team in the Software department, where we work closely and iteratively across software, hardware, AI, and robotics to develop coherent, cross-disciplinary, and robust solutions.

Your new everyday
You will work on modern, web-based front ends in a desktop environment where performance, stability, and real-time data are mission critical. Our solutions are used to control, visualize, and monitor both surface and subsea vehicles in close cooperation with domain specialists and hardware engineers.

You can expect to work with tasks such as:

· Development of dynamic and responsive front ends using React.js and TypeScript

· Design and evolution of front-end architecture and technology stack

· Data visualization and map-based tools for real-time tracking

· Performance optimization in applications with high data rates

· Close collaboration with Product Design on UI/UX implementation

· Contribution to team practices, technical standards, and architectural decisions together with senior peers across disciplines

As a senior profile, you will play an active role in technical sparring, architectural decisions, and daily prioritization.

The workplace is located at our office in Stilling.

The team is looking for the following competencies
You have a solid background as a software developer and a higher education degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.

In addition, we expect you to:

· Have strong experience with React.js and TypeScript

· Work confidently with front-end architecture and design systems

· Have experience with desktop frameworks such as Tauri, Electron, or similar

· Are familiar with micro frontends and object-oriented design

· Have experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar

· Thrive in close collaboration with both software and hardware teams

· Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken

Experience with real-time applications, test-driven development, robotics, or maritime technologies is considered an advantage – but not a requirement.
